Antimicrobial Activity of Four Selected Wild Mushrooms in Iraq.

ملخص البحث هو
In this study, the antimicrobial activity of Boletus luridus , Pleurotus nebrodensis P.ostreatus and Trametes trogii methanol extracts were evaluated against some yeast and bacterial pathogens. The phytochemical analysis reveals that the extracts were a rich source of active compounds of which the most important are secondary metabolites such as alkaloids,phenols flavonoids,tannins and terpenoids . The wild mushrooms extracts showed varying degree of inhibition on the microbial pathogen. Trametes trogii was more effective than the rest mushrooms and inhibit the growth of most microorganisms.B.luridus, showed only activity against Candid parapsilosis, Salmonella typhi and Saccharomyces cerevisia, while Poletus ostreatus produced inhibitory against S.cerevisis, Shigella sp. and Staphylococcus aureus. The mushroom P.nebrodensis exhibited no antimicrobial activities against yeast and bacterial pathogen.
