The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Samarra, organized a specialized training course for postgraduate students, delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ayat Mowaffaq Majeed and Assistant Lecturer Nargis Ali Zaidan.

The course aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of laboratory work in the field of microbiology, teach them proper methods for bacterial culture, conduct microscopic examinations, and efficiently use culture media, with an emphasis on practical applications inside the laboratory.

The course presenters highlighted the importance of this type of training in enhancing students’ field experience, particularly regarding diagnostic media for bacteria, advanced staining techniques, and microscopic examination methods, all of which contribute to supporting their research projects and developing their scientific and research skills.

This activity comes as part of a series of scientific and training initiatives carried out by the Department of Life Sciences, with the goal of enhancing the skills of postgraduate students and improving the laboratory environment in line with modern academic standards.
