The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Samarra held a meeting with postgraduate (PhD) students, presided over by Dr. Liqaa Hussein Alwan, Head of the Department, and attended by the Scientific Committee and the Postgraduate Studies Committee.

The meeting discussed several topics, including the difficulties students face in their first monthly exams and ways to overcome them to ensure the smooth progress of the educational process. The meeting also emphasized the importance of students’ commitment to the prescribed academic courses and adherence to official working hours in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Dr. Alwan stressed the need to adopt modern methods and scientifically based programs in writing research papers and dissertations, as well as the importance of following a unified research writing format across all specializations.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Department emphasized the importance of students’ attendance and active participation in the seminars and scientific workshops organized by the department, given their role in enhancing students’ research competence and strengthening their academic skills.
